New Leaders Council

The Future is Bright in Palm Beach County, by Ryanmarie Rice

Palm_Beach_.jpgLast summer, I sat in my office with a colleague talking about what was missing in Palm Beach County, and more importantly, what we could do about it.

"More than another networking event," she said.

"More than another young professionals training," I added.

A month later, I was on a plane to Sacramento, CA for the 2014 NLC National Leadership retreat. I didn’t know what to expect but my plan was to learn everything I could from NLC chapter directors from all over the country.

The speakers were inspiring, the workshops were informative. The people blew me away. Every room was full of brilliant, driven minds with diverse backgrounds, expertise, and dreams. Progressive young leaders.

I came home and set a plan in motion. We would recruit, train, and promote the next generation of young, progressive leaders in Palm Beach County.

The Board of Directors came together to recruit and select the inaugural class of NLC Palm Beach.

The inaugural class is a dynamic and diverse group, the best and brightest young leaders Palm Beach County has to offer. With progressive values and unrivaled determination, NLC Palm Beach class of 2015 will bring forth lasting positive change in Palm Beach County.
